Website review · under 60 seconds
Every flaw on your site, spotted.
Magpie reads your page the way a first-time visitor does, then tells you — bluntly — what's costing you trust, leads and sales, and how to fix it.
What Magpie looks at
Four things visitors judge in seconds
Design
Layout, visual hierarchy and readability — does the page guide the eye or fight it?
Trust
Contact details, policies and social proof — would a stranger hand you their card?
UX
Navigation, calls to action and forms — can visitors actually do what you want?
SEO basics
Titles, descriptions, headings, alt text and indexability — can people find you?
How it works

- 01
Paste a link
Any public page — your homepage, a landing page, a product page.
- 02
Magpie takes a look
It renders the page in a real browser, screenshots it, and checks it against a fixed checklist.

Example output
A sample verdict
This is what Magpie hands back — here for an example bakery, bellas-artisan-bakery.com.
First Impression
The page opens with the business name and a paragraph about process — a visitor has to read three sentences before learning that bread is for sale, and the order link is buried at the very bottom.

Biggest Problems
No HTTPS — browsers flag the site as 'Not Secure' before anyone reads a word.
The primary call-to-action sits below three sections of copy.
No social proof anywhere — no reviews, ratings, or customer quotes.
Quick Wins
- Lead with the offer — the headline is the business name, not what you sell.
- Move 'Order online' above the fold and style it as a button.css
.order-link { display: inline-block; padding: 12px 24px; background: #b45309; color: #ffffff; border-radius: 6px; font-weight: 600; } - Break the opening paragraph into two or three shorter ones.
AI Suggestions
- Add three customer quotes with names near the top of the page.
- Darken the caption text — light grey on white fails WCAG AA contrast.css
.caption { color: #3f3f46; } - State pickup and custom-order lead times so expectations are set before contact.

FAQ
Questions, answered
The short version: paste a link, get honest feedback, nothing is kept.
What is Magpie?
Magpie gives your website a brutally honest review in under 60 seconds. Paste a URL and you get specific, actionable feedback on design, trust, UX and SEO — what's hurting you, quick wins, and what to fix next.
How does it work?
We load your page in a real browser, scroll it top to bottom and take a full-page screenshot. Objective things like alt text, meta tags and links are checked automatically by code; AI reviews the screenshot and content for everything else, against a fixed checklist.
What does the report check?
Design (layout, visual hierarchy, readability), trust (contact details, policies, social proof), UX (navigation, calls to action, forms) and SEO basics (title, meta description, headings, image alt text, whether search engines can index the page).
Do I need an account?
No. There's no sign-up and no login — just paste a URL.
Is it free?
Yes, the audit is free to use right now.
Do you store my website or my report?
No. Pages are processed in memory and the report is sent straight to your browser — we don't keep URLs, screenshots or reports. Export the PDF if you want to keep a copy.
Can I audit any website?
Only sites you own or have permission to analyse. Pages behind a login, and sites that block automated browsers, can't be audited.
Why can two runs on the same site differ slightly?
The automated checks give the same answer every run. The written suggestions come from AI, so their wording and emphasis can shift a little between runs — we measure that variation and keep narrowing it.
Can I compare my site with a competitor's?
Yes. Compare audits two URLs side by side and explains where each one is ahead and why.
Is the report too technical if I'm not a developer?
No. Switch any report between Technical and Plain English wording, and export it as a PDF to share with your team or clients.
